DCPS students who have just completed grades 3-8 are invited to participate in the first DCPS Summer MATH Academy and Summer READING Academy. These programs will be offered at Sandlick Elementary School and Clintwood Elementary School according to the schedule indicated below. Bus transportation will be provided along primary routes. Breakfast and lunch will be provided daily.

The goal of each Academy is to provide instruction that will strengthen skills necessary for students to have success at their grade level in math and/or reading. Students will participate in learning activities designed to build on their individual strengths and interests while addressing their specific needs.

Students may participate in both the READING and MATH Academy or only one of the two. Your child’s teacher may recommend that your child attend one or both Academies, but a teacher recommendation is not required.

Sandlick ES, June 15-19
Clintwood ES, June 22-26
