In order to graduate with either a standard diploma or an advanced studies diploma the following requirements must be met. A standard credit is one where a student takes and passes a course. A verified credit is where a student takes and passes the accompanying SOL for the particular class.
All courses must be under the appropriate disciplines to qualifiy, and those are as follows: English, Mathematics, Laboratory Sciences, History/Social Sciences, Physcial Education, Fine/Performing Arts or CTE, Electives, and one student selected test. An advanced diploma requires an additional discipline: foreign language.
